Two Lives, Worlds Apart
A novel by Becky Parker Geist
If your past VANISHED... Who would you become?
"The idea of synchronicity and creating your own life is something I have been working to understand for the last two years. I'm struggling to escape from depression while simultaneously accepting depression. Your book reinforces this is not crazy."
Ken B.

"The book is amazing! I love the way Becky uses words! The way the story unfolds and they are part of the story, I love it! and the idea of writing your own story, I mean, I think we inherently know that we shape our own destiny but it gets lost and we forget and we think that life happens to us, but we CAN make happen whatever we believe."
Jim P.
"I couldn't put it down! What a great story, weaving so many elements and life lessons. I really connected with the journey of life being crappy and having to deal with it, changing to: I can choose and life can be better every day. I connected to the synchronicities... all of it, the fact that they happen, noticing them and starting to embrace them in life."
Steve N.
"I had to make myself stop because I had other things to do and I was afraid that I would stay up until the wee hours reading!"

Two Lives, Worlds Apart
A novel by Becky Parker Geist
If your past VANISHED . . . Who would you become?
Hannah, a forty-six year old author plagued with anxiety, and her partner James, an HR recruiter caught in a headlock of grief over his brother’s death, are as desperate for inner peace as they are clueless about how to find it.
But when they embark on a sunny bike ride shortly after moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, a split-second decision propels them into different versions of their lives—ones they don’t recognize as their own.
With a mental fog obscuring their recent past and who they were, they are forced to dig inside themselves to figure out who they are now.
Surprising discoveries about the nature of the universe send them on a psychological journey towards who they can become.
But will they be able to let go of their deeply ingrained subconscious beliefs about life and themselves to embrace the unfamiliar potentials they now face?

About the Author
Becky Parker Geist wanted to be an author since she learned what that meant, and her passion for stories has kept growing over the years. Her first book, A Man Named Joe, was written at age six in orange pencil on a very small notepad. Though not really worthy of publication, she was nonetheless very proud of this accomplishment, and her parents were wonderfully encouraging (not like Hannah’s).
After receiving her B.A. with a double major in Theatre and English, Becky went on to get her M.F.A. in Acting at University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. In 1981 she began narrating Talking Books for the Blind through the Library of Congress, narrating over 70 titles before moving with her husband and infant to California.
Becky co-founded two theatre companies in the San Francisco Bay Area: EDEN2 Theater Ensemble and Chaucer Theatre, which included an international tour as a performer. She has worked Off Broadway in NY (including Ars Nova Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop, and Signature Theatre) and the Bay Area (including A.C.T., the Mountain Play Association, and Marin Ballet) in a range of production roles.
Becky works with playwright Larry Klein as dramaturg and director. In 2022 her company produced a hybrid theatre-film production of Colla Voce in collaboration with Riverview Studios (her brother Jim’s company in New Jersey). In the film she performs the leading role. To view the film, visit bit.ly/collavoce. She always performs under the name Becky Parker.
Becky is the founder and CEO of Pro Audio Voices Inc., serving an international clientele with audiobook production—including full cast productions, Becky’s favorite!—as well as marketing and podcasting services. Her intention is to inspire the world through the stories they bring to life. She believes that very time a great story comes alive, doors open—in the heart, in the mind, in the spirit. With each great story brought to life and each door that opens, positive change becomes possible, and the world changes—one story at a time.
Becky serves as President of BAIPA (Bay Area Independent Publishers Association) and presents frequently on the subject of audiobook production and marketing. She is also working closely with the team creating the Audiobook World Awards Academy.
The mother of three wonderful daughters who are also her best friends and colleagues, Becky lives in Portland, OR. In addition to writing, she also enjoys biking, hiking, dancing, playing the Native American flute, playing and inventing games—basically, all things creative.
